First impressions are good, and it has little vents on the B pillars for back seat passengers!

My car has those B-pillar vents, too. They're great, especially as a discrete place to put an air freshener.

The 3.8. Ain't no way Enterprise was going to give me a 5.0.

bummer. That's still a stout engine though. If it's the same as the gen coupe, which I'm pretty sure it is, you're right around 350hp and 300lbs of torque with some rear wheel drive goodness.

333hp methinks, but yes it's got plenty of power to get into trouble.

If feels...strange. Lots of plastic, but it's not cheap plastic which makes it ok. The seats are comfortable and have very soft leather. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather but the whole center and button are hard plastic, which seems odd but again, it feels alright. One thing I don't like is that the turn signal stalk/light controls aren't intuitive. It shouldn't take a 10 minute lesson to teach someone how to turn on the headlights or fogs or jesus-fuck-just-leave-it-in-automatic-mode-already. The stereo is fine, but it desperately needs a subwoofer. The stereo in the Pilot is better, and the HK in my e46 beats it easily.
Rear head room is good, and there's a lot of space to stretch your legs. I asked my fiancee to drive me home last night while I sat in the back because damn, that legroom.
It's quiet, too. Very quiet. You can have whispers of conversations at highway speeds and nothing is lost.
My favorite part thus far is the doors. They have a very rewarding and heavy closing noise. Having never heard or felt an S-Class door close, I would think this is very similar. I think (so far) it's a good way to spend $20k on a legitimately nice car.

Methinks that might be a thing. I still haven't mashed the gas pedal yet...
